Extra work for Hollyoaks - what does being an extra entail:
You must be able to travel to Childwall at short notice. We are told about extra requirements around midday of the day before filming so you only get 24 hours notice that you will be needed the following day. We will need daytime contact numbers – mobile and home numbers where you can always be contacted.
It requires a high level of commitment. You need to be very reliable and punctual. Most of the filming for Hollyoaks takes place at their studios in Childwall so you also need to be confident about your travel arrangements (bearing in mind that the hours can be anytime between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.). There is no train station nearby and bus services may not start early enough for an early call).
It is impossible to gauge how long you will be used each day because filming requirements change throughout the day due to technical issues/weather etc. Therefore if you agree to work on any given day you have to be clear of any commitments for the entire day.
